Is Lil Wayne’s Rebirth Album Really Coming Out Next Month?
Confusion clouds release date for Wayne's album.

By now, you may have given up trying to follow the bouncing ball that is Lil Wayne's Rebirth album. The disc has had more than a half dozen release dates
and while the latest, February 2, seemed pretty solid, it remains unclear if that is just the latest placeholder until the next one rolls around.
A report earlier this week claimed that the disc had been pushed once again to June 22, based on an alleged posting on the Wal-Mart.com Web site announcing the new date that was quickly taken down, if it had ever been posted at all. But a spokesperson for Wayne's label, Cash Money Records, told MTV News that "Wayne's album is still on schedule for Feb 2nd." A spokesperson for Cash Money distributor Universal Records, however, has not responded to repeated requests for confirmation on the release date of the album.
If the February release holds, the rock-inspired Rebirth will hit shelves just a week before Wayne reports for his one-year sentence on gun charges.
It's also unknown if the version of Rebirth due out next month will be the same as the one that was accidentally shipped last month to 500 Amazon.com customers who had pre-ordered the album (based on its early December release). The disc has since leaked in its entirety online, leading to speculation that Cash Money will re-work the official version before it hits stores: Young Money President Mack Maine tweeted last month that "leaked 09 Rebirth isn't going to be 2010 Rebirth." The album's tracklist has apparently changed, perhaps considerably, since Wayne told MTV News back in June that it was ready to go.
In the meantime, Wayne continues to push ahead with Rebirth's promotion, premiering the over-the-top video for the album's "On Fire" on MTV earlier this week.

‘Hannah Montana’ To End After Fourth Season

Season four of Miley Cyrus' hit Disney series, "Hannah Montana," will be the show's last. Rumors of the show's curtain call have been swirling for about a year now, and on Friday (January 8), a rep for Disney confirmed the upcoming finale to MTV News.
"You never know in this business ... but right now, we're scheduled to wrap after shooting this new batch of episodes," Disney Channel Worldwide programming exec Adam Bonnett said in a statement. "The [new] episodes will continue to roll out at least over a full year."
Production on the fourth season of the show, which debuted on the Disney Channel in 2006, will begin January 18 and continue throughout the summer, with breaks scheduled around Cyrus promoting her film "The Last Song" in April. The season is set to kick off in the spring, according to Bonnett.
The season-three finale, called "Is Miley Saying Goodbye?," is set to air as a one-hour special in mid-March, setting up the story line for the fourth season. Bonnett said it will be "a big one-hour event where we find out what Miley Stewart's decision is going to be."
In season four, Cyrus' character, Miley Stewart, will struggle with her dual lives as a pop star and as a regular girl. It's a similar situation to the one her character faced in the 2009 flick "Hannah Montana: The Movie." "It's one of the things she's been wrestling with for months — whether it's time to make a decision to continue being Hannah Montana or just be a regular, ordinary girl," Bonnett said.
The New York Post reported that Ray Liotta and "Two and a Half Men" teen star Angus Young are set to appear on the show this season. "Ray Liotta will play a role that no one would ever expect him to play in a teen sitcom," Bonnett hinted.
In an interview for the February issue of Harper's Bazaar, Cyrus expressed her interest in seeking out more mature roles and noted that, although she's a role model, she doesn't feel the need to be her fans' parent.
"Everything is so dramatic in the world," she said. "My job is to be a role model, and that's what I want to do, but my job isn't to be a parent. My job isn't to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I'm still figuring that out for myself. So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not. That's just life."
