Jim Carrey’s Daughter Jane Welcomes a New Son

Just a few days shy of her March 3 due date, Jim Carrey's daughter Jane gave birth to her first child on Friday in Los Angeles. Jane and her husband singer Alex Santana welcomed a baby boy named Jackson Riley Santana into the world, according to People magazine.

Jim, 47, posted a photo on his Twitter page and happily exclaimed, "Jackson Riley Santana, My Grandson, Born today! This is what 7lbs.11oz. of Calfornia dynomite looks like!"

Something tells me this kid is in for some serious laughs with slapstick comedian Jim Carrey as his grandfather.

Marie Osmond’s Son Michael Blosil Commits Suicide

Singer Marie Osmond's son Michael Blosil committed suicide by jumping to his death on Friday night in Los Angeles, according to ET Online. After leaving a note for a close female friend, Michael, 18, leapt from his own apartment. His last message said that he felt as though he didn't have any friends and could never fit in.

"My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time," Marie told ET in a statement.

One of eight siblings, Michael had spent some time in rehab towards the end of 2007 and by all accounts, appeared to be heading in the right direction. He graduated from high school and had his future ahead of him. Sadly, that all came to an end on Friday.

Donny and Marie's Las Vegas show was cancelled on Friday night and will remain suspended until further notice.

Lil Wayne’s Jail Time: A Prison Guard Breaks Down His Routine

Now that Lil Wayne's teeth are in order, the superstar MC is expected once again to turn himself in to authorities, this time on Tuesday, to finally begin his one-year prison sentence stemming from a 2007 arrest on gun charges.

The rapper will be formally sentenced in a Manhattan courtroom by Judge Charles H. Solomon after last month's postponement due to Wayne's dental surgery. Wayne is scheduled to enter his plea, and authorities will then whisk him away for processing at New York's Rikers Island.

There, Weezy's world will be unlike anything he's experienced before in his life.

According to a prison guard who spoke with MTV News, the Cash Money lyricist's hectic life of recording, touring and performing will be replaced by a regimented routine that features wakeup calls at 4 a.m. and dinner at 3 p.m. The guard, who declined to be identified because of the sensitive nature of the information, said Wayne should be treated like a regular inmate for the most part, obvious safety concerns aside.

"He'll be housed with inmates who are classified in his category, and he'll be able to be a regular inmate," the guard said. "He'll be able to watch television, go into the day room and congregate with people of his classification."

Wayne's classification, however, will most likely be decided based in part on his fame, the guard said. The guard also suggested Wayne would be placed in the Eric M. Taylor Center at Rikers, on the north side of the facility in East Elmhurst, New York.

"It's a high-class area where he will be segregated from [the general] population," the guard explained.

The rapper, though, won't be in a dormitory setting, as a retired corrections officer told MTV News last month. He'll likely have his own 10-by-15-foot cell with a toilet, sink, bed and one window. "He'll be able to see another wall [outside the window]," the guard said.

Wayne also will not be able to make many of his own decisions during his incarceration, including what recreation he participates in and the option to work. "He probably won't be assigned a job, just to keep things quiet," the guard said, alluding to the rapper's safety and the overall safety of the unit he's placed in.

When Wayne graced the cover of Rolling Stone recently, he said he would bring an iPod loaded with music he could write to; the guard, however, emphasized that an mp3 player would be classified as contraband, meaning the rapper would not be permitted to have one.

Weezy will have plenty of downtime, though, of which he can choose how he passes the time. In between the rapper's 4 a.m. wakeup calls for breakfast, 11 a.m. lunchtimes, 3 p.m. dinners and evening lights out, he has a number of options. He's allowed to receive two visits per week, which can be any day of the week or weekends at various times.

With his commissary money, he can purchase a transistor radio. It's unlikely that he'll visit the law library, as he has no appeal to make for his case; he's widely expected to be released after eight months if he serves with good behavior. If he wishes to participate in religious activity, he can be excused to visit the places of worship within the prison.

Throughout Wayne's sentence, he'll have an intermittent amount of time to interact with fellow inmates. According to the guard, that decision is one that is made by the governing officers of the facility to keep things orderly. For the most part, Wayne will be isolated and treated like any other numbered prisoner at Rikers Island.

"He'll have no preferable treatment at all. He'll be treated like a regular inmate," the guard said, with one added caveat: "He may have heightened security. A guard will walk with him when he moves from location to location."

Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Pink and Kings of Leon also make the top 40 list for 2009.

Billboard magazine's fourth-annual Top 40 Money Makers list is topped by U2 this year. The Irish superstars raked in more than $108 million in 2009, mostly through their gigantic 360-degree tour — the most expensive rock production to ever hit the road — which is also destined to be the highest-grossing tour of all time.

In addition to being topped by the big three from the '80s — U2, Madonna and Bruce Springsteen — the list also features a number of younger acts banking major cash, among them Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Kings of Leon and Taylor Swift.

Among the variables figured into the list were money earned from CD and digital sales, publishing royalties and all forms of streaming media, as well as touring from the first week of 2009 through January 3, 2010.

The top three included Madonna, who piled up $47.2 million from her Sticky and Sweet stadium/arena tour, licensing and merchandise as well as a lucrative 360 deal with Live Nation. Veteran rocker Bruce Springsteen took the #2 spot with $57.6 million through a combination of touring, more than 2 million digital downloads and hefty publishing revenues thanks to the fact that he writes all his own songs.

Britney Spears proved that touring is a girl's best friend by surging in at #5 ($38.8 million), raking in more than $36.4 million for her worldwide arena tour in support of 2008's Circus album, as well as money from more than 7.5 million downloads. The road was very, very kind to Pink as well, earning her the #6 spot ($36.3 million), with all but $1 million of that rolling in courtesy of her acrobatic Funhouse world tour.

The Jonas Brothers did all right for themselves, landing at #7 on proceeds of $33.5 million, $31.4 million of which came from their world tour in support of Lives, Vines and Trying Times. Miley Cyrus hit #15 with $21.2 million, with more than $4.3 million from CD royalties and $15 million from her "Wonder World" tour, while Beyoncé banked $23.6 million to land at #13, with $2.3 coming from CD royalties on I Am ... Sasha Fierce, as well as endorsements and touring revenue and Coldplay earned $27.3 million, most of it from their world tour in support of 2008's Viva la Vida.

Also earning big bucks was teen Taylor Swift, #21 with $17.2 million, whose touring only accounted for half her cash, which mostly came from CD royalties for her mega-selling Fearless. In fact, Swift's royalties were topped only by Michael Jackson's, which surged in the year of his death.

Jackson was just ahead at #20 with $17.3 million, from a combination of CD and ringtone royalties ($13.2 for albums, $255,000 for ringtones), as well as cash from "This Is It," the highest-grossing concert film of all time, earning more than $72 million at the box office.

Kings of Leon also crashed the list at #25 with $14.4 million, $1.4 million of which they earned for their breakthrough Only by the Night disc, which sold 1.2 million copies. Another $9.9 million came from their non-stop touring.

Green Day came in at #32 with more than $12.1 million, mostly from their 21st Century Breakdown album and more than $8.8 million in touring. Lil Wayne — who is headed to prison for a year on Tuesday (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1632822/20100227/lil_wayne.jhtml) — came in at #30 with $12.8 million, $10 million of which came from the highest-grossing hip-hop tour of the year, not to mention the most lucrative rap trek Billboard has ever tracked.

Among the other acts making the list: reunited jam giants Phish (#37, $9.9 million), greasepaint rockers Kiss (#34, $11.8 million), former Beatle Paul McCartney (#31, $12.2 million), road hogs the Dave Matthews Band (#17, $20 million), Elton John (#14, $22.1 million), Nickelback (#12, $23.6 million), Fleetwood Mac (#11, $24.7 million), Metallica (#10, $25.5 million) and AC/DC (#4, $43.6 million).
